The George Goebel Scholarship
Dr. George Goebel was the Pastor at Christ Church, Des Plaines, Illinois, from 1919 to 1945. He was a great scholar and contributed his time and talents to the service of Christ with his whole heart and being.
He was raised in an academic atmosphere at Elmhurst College and served the denomination in many ways.
Upon his retirement from the local parish in 1945, he was placed on an Emeritus status and after his death, the congregation wished to honor him by starting the George Goebel Scholarship Fund.
To apply you must be a current, participating member of Christ Church. The applicant is not limited to their first year of study when applying.
